ISMEP Project

Purpose of Project which's pre-debates are executed by Provincial Disaster and Emergency Directorate is, against possible earthquake disaster not only enforcing in structural mean but also moving Urgent Case Preparations to the top level of Istanbul city.

For the purposes of Public Finance and Debt Management Recovery of Law No 4749, as amended by Law No 5335 temporary code 8, with the number of 2005/8962 decision that has been adopted as of 06.06.2005 by council of ministers 310 million Euro of credit which was provided from The World Bank has been actually cashed to Istanbul Governorship Special Provincial Administration without remuneration.

For execution and coordination of ISMEP Project, Istanbul Project Coordination Unit was founded in February 1st, 2006 affiliated to Special Provincial Administration.

İstanbul Special Provincial Administration, Istanbul Project Coordination Unit and Provincial Disaster Management have been being continuing related studies with ISMEP Project in an effective and rapid way.

Within the contex of ISMEP Project, increasing the capacity of urgent case preparation (developing of communication systems, setting up information system of disaster management, improving corporate capacity of Provincial Disaster Management Center Directorate, construction of provincial disaster management centers, interference and making people conscious) and consolidation of public buildings studies are being made.

ISMEP's budget is being used as financial resource in Provincial Disaster and Emergency Directorate efforts, studies have been made in this context has been given places in related pages in our site.
