Our Schools

932 of our schools were taken to feasibility study that includes retrofitting.

Consolidation retrofitting has been made in 84 of schools. 175 of Schools have been scrapped and rebuilt.
315 of schools have been retrofitted and 37 of school building's reconstruction by collapsing have been completed.
8 of schools have been continued it's reconstruction by destroying.
136 projects have been prepared to reconstructioning of school buildings by collapsing which are not considered as economical to retrofit them.

Concerned studies for Health Buildings

Beykoz Children, Baltalimanı, Heybeliada Sanatorium Hospital Men's Department, Pasabahce Hospital (4 block), Goztepe Hospital Isolate Emergency Department, Vakıf Gureba Emergency, Intensive Care Unit, Istanbul Educational Hospital Orthopedics, Nurse's company Town, Main Buildings have been solidified.

Damaging Probability feasibility study of 12 hospital blocks that related with Istanbul University have been made.

 

Social Service Buildings and Dormitories

7 of social service building, as well as 2 dormitory building, within the scope of the project of ISMEP, 3 dormitories such as Fatih Dormitory, Edirnekapı Dormitory ve Avcılar Atatürk Dormitory, ISMEP have been strengthened against earthquakes by using internal resources.
Retrofitting work of Kadırga Dormitory, Vezneciler Dormitory, Hürriyeti Ebediye Dormitory, Marmara University Özmen Aktar Dormitory is continuing.
Zeytinburnu Atatürk Dormitory's preparation of reconstruction projects as campus have been initiated.
Retrofitting work of 5 of the Social Service Building "Ağaçlı Children and Youth Center" and "Istanbul Training Center" (Kabataş), Bahçelievler Female Guest, Bahçelievler Şeyh Zayed Kids Home, Fahrettin Kerim Gökay Çamlıca Nursing Home (A, B and C blocks), Kartal Emrullah Turanlı Child Slot is continuing.

Concerned studies for Social Service Buildings

Damaging probability inspection of 17 of buildings has been made, retrofitting scheme has been prepared of 12, retrofitting study of 9 of buildings has been completed.

Concerned studies for Bridge and Viaducts

by General Directorate of Highways,
Main bridges and viaducts in Istanbul against to a possible Marmara earthquake such as,
- The Bosphorus Bridge,
- The Bosphorus Bridge Approach Viaducts,
- Fatih Sultan Mehmet Bridge,
- Old Golden Horn and New Golden Horn Bridges,
- New Golden Horn Bridge Approach Viaducts,
- Ortaköy Viaducts,
have been being consolidated by derived external credit from Japan Bank of International Collaboration (JBIC).

With also using internal resource,
- Highways, local roads, bridges and viaducts on crossroads and connection roads have been being solidified within a plan.

As part of ISMEP,

Education

Retrofitting studies of 142 of schools have been completed.
Retrofitting studies of 94 of schools have been started.
11 of schools have been scrapped and re-built,
In 248 of schools, retrofitting or scrap and rebuilt feasibility schemes have been prepared.

Health

Retrofitting and feasibility studies have been realized in 48 of hospitals and clinics until today.
3 of hospital's retrofitting studies have been completed.(Pendik State Hospital, Istanbul Bakirkoy Mental Hospital and Neurological Diseases and Neurosis Amatem blocks, Beykoz State Hospital).
Kosuyolu Cardiac and Education Hospital where had decided to scrapped Kosuyolu Pediatric Hospital has been being planned to built instead, Design and Construction Supervision Consulting Services tender has resulted and it's project works continues.

Moreover,

Fatih District Clinic's retrofitting studies have been completed.
Levent District Clinic's rebuilt studies have been completed.
Retrofitting study of Zeytinburnu Hıfzıssıhha Institute, Bayrampaşa Topçular District Clinics, Şile State Hospital, Bayrampaşa Sağmalcılar State Hospital, Sait Çiftçi and the Sultanahmet District Clinics is continuing.
For Okmeydanı and Kartal Lütfü Kırdar Training and Research Hospital's reconstruction with 800 beds, consultancy tender process was initiated.
For Paşabahçe State Hospital, Sultanbeyli Traders Foundation Hospital, Kadiköy Yeldeğirmeni District Clinics retrofitting tender process is continuing.
Turkey's first "Earthquake Hospital" where has been built in 2115m2 sphere of Haydarpasa Numune Hospital's garden is ready to service.
Earthquake Hospital, at other times outside the disaster, serves as a clinic. In our hospital where is including 110 clinic rooms, has also a 4-emergency operating room, 13-bed intensive care unit, 6-bed burn unit, 15-bed hemodialysis unit, blood bank, radiology, microbiology and biochemistry unit is located.
Another feature of the hospital's some hardware "Demountable" have a special system is called. Through this system, on an emergency state, hospital's inside walls can be taken down and through large wards, it become a 360-bed hospital within 2 hours.

Hostels and Administrative Premises

3 of hostel premises have been retrofitted.
Retrofitting studies of 8 of hostel premises are being continued. 1 of hostel's rebuilt construction tender will be done.
Besiktas Directorate of Public Works and Settlement Service Premises's retrofitting construction has been completed.

Historical Structure

Real cultural properties's computation of inventory and tender of evaluating in earthquake performance consultancy services has been done under the responsibility of Ministry of Culture and Tourism. 28 of historical and cultural structures evaluation of multiple disaster and earthquake performance has been completed.
